HEAD TO HEAD

The last time the teams hooked up, it was a classic. The Esks scored a last-second TD from Fred Stamps to win 38-35 in Edmonton Aug. 13. The Eskimos beat the Stamps 37-16 last year on Labour Day, leaving the Stamps with a record of 18-24-1 for the annual Classic.

KEY STAT

479 -- Passing yardage for Henry Burris in the previous meeting with the Eskimos -- a career high.

KEY MATCHUP

Stamps LG Jesse Newman vs. Esks DT Dario Romero -- The Eskimos line is anchored by Romero in the middle, and he will make life miserable for the second-year Stampeders guard.

KEYS TO VICTORY

1. Manage the environment -- There is a Labour Day-record crowd of more than 40,000 expected. The Stamps expect a challenge keeping focused with a packed stadium and the extra promotions that come with this game.

2. Pressure Ray -- When Ricky Ray has time to wait for plays to develop, he can be downright deadly.

3. Blue Raiders in the spotlight -- Both teams make a change in the secondary with players from Middle Tennessee State. The Stamps' Keon Raymond steps in at cornerback for Brandon Browner, while Bradley Robinson replaces Jonte Buhl at cornerback for the Esks.

STAMPS ROSTER MOVE

DB Brandon Browner (knee) and LB Tristan Black (ankle) are out. Keon Raymond will take Browner's cornerback position, while DL Alain Kashama and Jim Davis get activated to the 46-man roster in their places.
