Without a doubt, football fans in Calgary have been treated to top-notch talent since the Stampeders were officially born more than six decades ago.
But who's the best of the best?
We've picked 10 talents who reached star status in the Stampede City and made a habit of bringing the fans at McMahon Stadium to their feet. The rest is up to you.
For the next five days, you'll have an opportunity to voice your opinion on the greatest player to ever hit the turf in Red & White.
Just whittling the list to 10 was a tall task, especially when you consider the club has retired seven sweater numbers, sent 29 players to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and landed countless others on the annual all-star squad.
Whether you're a Doug Flutie fanatic, a Henry Burris booster or a longtime supporter who holds tough-as-nails defenders Wayne Harris or John Helton in the highest regard, we want to hear from you.
Our list also includes a couple of sure-handed slotbacks in Tom Forzani and Allen Pitts and a pair of bulldozing ball-carriers in Willie Burden and Earl Lunsford, plus elusive pivot Jeff Garcia and legendary linebacker Alondra Johnson.
No question, they're all gridiron greats. We're asking you to decide who's the greatest.
Throughout the next four days, we'll also canvas the opinion of several experts, from former Stamps players to longtime football insiders. Their votes are sure to stir the pot, but the final say is all yours.
To have your say, log on to calgarysun.com and click the Who's the Greatest Stamp of All-Time? link. Online voting runs through Tuesday. Pick up a copy of the Sun Thursday to find out which star finished atop the heap.
And let the debate begin.
