WINNIPEG -- The Grey Cup offence was supposed to be united this week.

But centre Rob Lazeo went and messed that plan up.

Ken-Yon Rambo, Jesse Newman, Jeff Pilon and Ryan Thelwell are all getting back into action tonight when the Calgary Stampeders face the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Canad Inns Stadium (5:30 p.m., TSN).

Lazeo didn't make the trip to Winnipeg because of an elbow injury that flared up last Thursday in practice.

The news came as a bit of a shock to head coach John Hufnagel, who will be inserting Tim O'Neill into the starting role.

"Right now, it's an inflamed elbow and hopefully it settles down in a few days. Hopefully, he will go for next week's game," Hufnagel said.

Home debut for Bombers QB

Although this isn't his first pro start, Blue Bombers quarterback Stefan LeFors is making his regular-season debut in front of the home crowd.

He obviously wants to make a good impression.

"I'm just excited to be playing in front of these fans," the pivot said. "Coming in here last year and playing for Edmonton, you see the fans and how loud they get and how involved they are in the game."

MacDonald traded to 'Peg

The Carolina Panthers released Stampeders defensive lineman/long-snapper Pat MacDonald and the defending Grey Cup champs promptly flipped him to Winnipeg for a conditional 2012 draft pick.
