BC LIONS (5-2-1) 45
CALGARY STAMPEDERS (3-4-1) 45
1. Henry Burris, Stamps -- Surpassed the 300-yard barrier, threw a couple touchdown passes and also ran a trio into the end zone.
2. Jason Clermont, Lions -- A couple of touchdown catches for the big receiver.
3. Nik Lewis, Stampeders -- 100-yard game highlighted by the late game-tying TD.
A fantastic throw by Stamps QB Henry Burris -- he threaded the needle by zipping the ball through two defenders -- was rewarded by a nifty reception by Ken-Yon Rambo. A few plays later, the Stamps were in the endzone.
Credit Nik Lewis for taking those hard tackles after receptions. The Stamps receiver went into traffic after making the catch across the middle and was in the process of spinning off the tackle when he was met head-on by Dennis Mitchell.
5-67: The number of catches and yards for Stampeders receiver Ken-Yon Rambo, three of them for clutch first downs.
Marcus Howell's 33-yard punt return midway through the second quarter was his longest of the season ... Nik Lewis passed the 4,000-yard mark for receiving yards in his career, while Brett Ralph surpassed the 1,000-yard mark ... B.C. defensive back Ryan Phillips nabbed his league-leading sixth interception when he caught the deflected second-quarter toss ... Lions linebacker and Calgary product Javier Glatt limped to the locker-room with an ankle injury and didn't return ... B.C. receiving star Geroy Simon, who had his best game of the season, had to be helped to the bench in the third quarter with what appeared to be a back injury ... To top it off, starting QB Buck Pierce was injured late in the game after getting sacked and headed to the bench gingerly holding his left arm/shoulder and didn't return.
