Khalid Abdullah has waited a long time to get his shot at stuffing Ricky Williams.

It appears that opportunity will finally arrive Saturday in Toronto.

The Calgary Stampeders linebacker missed the Argonauts running back during his NFL days, then was forced to sit out last week while still recovering from a hamstring injury.

With John Grace sitting out the past two days with the flu, Abdullah was back at the outside linebacker spot with the first-team defence, while Cornelius Anthony slid back into the middle for Grace.

Even if Grace is well enough to play, Abdullah will be activated and get a chance to shut down the Toronto Argonauts run game.

"They were swinging him out with a lot of passes last week but this time I think they will try to push him through the middle," Abdullah said. "Either way, I'll be moving around to where he goes."

SANDRO NO SURPRISE: It was no surprise Sandro DeAngelis won the special teams player of the week award after kicking six field goals against Toronto.

But Stamps centre John Comiskey was recognized as a runner-up for the lineman of the week award, which pleased head coach Tom Higgins. Comiskey took over the position from Godfrey Ellis in the first month of the season and has worked hard to maintain his spot.

"He earned the job," Higgins said. "Things weren't going well early this season, we made the switch and things have worked out well. It's one of the hardest positions on the field and he's done extremely well."

PILON NEARS RETURN: Stamps veteran OL Jeff Pilon has returned to practice but won't play this week against the Argonauts, although he will make the trip to Toronto. The veteran o-lineman has missed the past four games after getting his knee scoped.

POINTS AFTER: The Stamps are bringing in QB Erik Meyer to join the practice roster. The Eastern Washington product won the Walter Payton Trophy last year for top player in NCAA Div. 1-AA ... Recent Tennessee Titans cut, DL Robert Rodriguez, was added to the practice roster.
