Game day

DAN TOTH -- Calgary Sun

, Last Updated: 1:27 PM ET

COMING IN:

The Stamps are the CFL's version of the heartbreak kids, taking all three of their games to the last season this season. Sandro DeAngelis kicked the winning field goal from 45 yards out last week as Calgary beat Hamilton 23-22. Saskatchewan is coming off a bye week after beating the B.C. Lions 32-24 at home on June 25.

HEAD-IN-HEAD:

The Stampeders won both matchups last season, 44-18 in Week 4 in Calgary and 29-21 in Week 16 in Regina. The all-time series is tied 76-76-8.

KEYS TO VICTORY:

KERRY JOSEPH -- The Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback has a knack for winning games with his feet. The 6-ft. 2-in., 210-lb pivot can be as tough to stop as some of the league's best running backs, compiling more than 1,000 yards last season with Ottawa.

HENRY BURRIS -- The Stampeders excitable starter is making just his second return to Regina's Mosaic Stadium since signing with Calgary prior to the 2005 season. He needs to overcome his emotions to play his best and has posted the second-most passing yards this season, prior to this week's games.

SPECIAL TEAMS -- The Roughriders lost returner Corey Holmes to Hamilton but have replaced him with sensational returners Jason Armstead and Dominique Dorsey, two game-breakers.

THE FANS -- The Mosaic Stadium faithful are famous for driving visiting teams to distraction but they can be just as tough on the home side when the Green Machine sputters. They'll be a factor either way today.

KEY STAT:

2-0 -- The Stampeders beat the Roughriders both times they met last season. The teams will face each other in three of their next five games with the contests playing a major role in determining both teams fate this season.

KEYS MATCHUP:

The Stampeders want to establish a ground game with running back Joffrey Reynolds trying to find holes in the 'Riders d-line of Terrell Jurineack, Scott Schultz, Nate Davis and Fred Perry.

ROSTER MOVES:

Stampeders OL Jeff Pilon returns to the starting right tackle spot and Derek Armstrong moves to the developmental roster. 'Riders DB Kennedy Nkeyasen (knee) is out and is replaced on the roster by former Tiger-Cat DB Imokhai Atogwe.

NOTABLES:

Current special teams player of the week Sandro DeAngelis has the best field-goal percentage this season, hitting on 10 of 11. The sophomore had one of his best games last season in Regina, when he hit six field goals and forced a fumble on a kickoff ... Stamps RB Joffrey Reynolds is averaging 7.8 yards per carry this season ... Stamps SB Jeremaine Copeland needs 27 yards to reach the 5,000 mark in his career.
