Some things worth noting...

DON BRENNAN -- Ottawa Sun

, Last Updated: 11:59 AM ET

DOWNS AND OUTS: The Renegades' defence scored a touchdown -- Robert Grant sack, Kyries Hebert fumble recovery and 14 yard run -- seven minutes before allowing the Stamps their first, first down at 2:35 of the opening quarter.

CLEARING THE DEBRIS: On the very first offensive play of the game, 'Gades safety Quincy Coleman threw Stamps RB Joffrey Reynolds to the sidelines, effectively crushing a sign.

SLIPPERIEST SUCKER: Jason Armstead was at least seven yards in the clear when Kerry Joseph's end-zone pass bounced off his hands and to the ground in the first quarter.

WALLUP 'O' THE NIGHT: Stamps LB Scott Coe looked a little like a young Lance Pitlick the way he caught Markus Howell with a full body check at the tail end of a suicide pass. Howell hopped up immediately and gave Coe a "nice-hit" type slap on the side of the head.
