GUELPH, ONT. - It's always easier to be humble and gracious when you've just handed an opponent a beatdown, but Kory Banks was talking up the Ticats even before B.C.'s win a week ago in Vancouver.

The Lions veteran linebacker was then, and remains now, very impressed with this young Ticats team and he sees not only a bright future for them but a real opportunity this season.

Having watched them on film for consecutive weeks not to mention facing them in that win, the veteran of 10 CFL seasons has seen nothing to change his mind.

He sees a coaching staff led by Kent Austin that is going to put them in position to win. He sees a veteran quarterback whose skill-set was made for the offence he is running and the weapons provided him, and he sees a young defence getting better every week.
