B.C. Lions defensive tackle Khalif Mitchell is in trouble once again with the Canadian Football League after making a derogatory comment on Twitter.

While watching Tuesday night's U.S. presidential debate, Mitchell posted that both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney "hide money with the C-----."

The CFL fined Mitchell an undisclosed amount for violating the league's social media policy.

"The comments that I made were based off of unknown knowledge," Mitchell told reporters Wednesday. "I just want to apologize to everyone out there who may have been offended by my actions."
