VANCOUVER - The B.C. Lions announced Tuesday that quarterback Travis Lulay has signed a contract extension.

Lulay was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Player last year and capped the campaign with an MVP performance in the Lions' Grey Cup victory.

"Winning a championship in front of a home crowd at BC Place was an amazing experience and I believe we have the makings of another very talented club in 2012," Lulay said.

Lulay, in his third season with the Lions last year, threw for 4,815 yards and 32 touchdowns. He recorded a 109.2 passer rating in the final 11 regular season games.

"Travis is not only our inspirational leader on the field, he is also an extremely valuable member of our organization off the field," said the Lions' VP of football operations and GM Wally Buono.
