By QMI Agency

B.C. Lions running back Jamall Lee retired Monday.

Lions general manager Wally Buono made the announcement but didn't say why Lee, 24, was retiring.

A first-round draft pick of the Lions in 2009, Lee joined B.C. that season after a trial in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers.

Lee appeared in 32 games over three seasons with the Lions, getting six carries for 18 yards and making 11 catches for 133 yards.
