VANCOUVER - Will the B.C. Lions ever find consistency with their quarterbacks?

The 4-8 squad will make another change in their pivot Saturday when Travis Lulay gets the start -- his fourth this season -- in place of the struggling Casey Printers.

Lulay took the majority of the first-team reps at practice Tuesday, confirming his No. 1 spot over Printers, who was pulled after fumbling three times in a win against Calgary last weekend.

"One of the main reasons in my mind was to alleviate some of the pressure on that position," coach Wally Buono said of the change.

"What occurred in the last two games put a lot of focus, and maybe a lot of pressure, that at this time of the year with the importance of the game wasn't warranted."

Whatever pressure Lulay will face this week against Winnipeg, he says, is from within.

And it's not something entirely new to him having already been in the same position earlier this season.

"I'm not putting too much pressure on myself because I know I can just take care of what I can control," he said.

"I know what it's like to be out there. You've seen the good, you've seen the bad and been through it. This time, I'm just excited about the opportunity to go to war with my teammates."

The Salem, Ore., native, who turned 27 on Monday, finished 5-for-12 for 85 yards after coming in for Printers against Calgary.

Printers, now the No. 2 quarterback, says this decision isn't a big deal.

"I know what it's like to be out there. You've seen the good, you've seen the bad and been through it. This time, I'm just excited about the opportunity to go to war with my teammates."

"I've been through this rodeo," he said. "You just got to keep moving. It's more about the team and I'm going to lay back and support, and just keep getting better."

* Running back Yonus Davis was named the CFL Special Teams Player of the Week Tuesday after returning a combined 244 yards Saturday. It's the second honour for the rookie this season after being named Special Teams Player of the Month for August.
