The B.C. Lions are returning to their original lair in 2010.

On Tuesday, B.C. Pavilion Corporation will finally confirm the former Empire Stadium site as the temporary home of the Canadian Football League club in 2010 while B.C. Place Stadium is closed for renovations. Nussli, a Swiss company that supplied bleachers to the 2010 Winter Olympics, was among the bidders to build the 30,000-seat temporary stadium.

The Vancouver Whitecaps are expected to play an international friendly at Empire in 2010 and make Empire their home to begin the 2011 Major League Soccer season.

A news conference is planned for the site at 10:30 a.m.
