Just enjoying the experience

Emmanuel Arceneaux just got his first ever taste of playoff action this past Sunday, and he's liking the experience.

"To be honest, I'm really enjoying this," said the rookie wide receiver. "I'm just thankful to be in this position and to have the opportunity to even catch passes."

The former Alcorn State University player has never reached the post-season throughout his entire football career until now, and if his performance against Hamilton was any indication, Arceneaux just might be a big game player.

Despite a first half fumble, the 22-year-old made a team-best-six catches for 120 yards, including the game's longest reception of 49 yards.

And as one of Casey Printer's favourite targets, he could be looking at another big game against Montreal in the Eastern final on Sunday.

"It's a sense of urgency now," said Arceneaux. "So really you just try to minimize those mistakes."

With Paris Jackson and Geroy Simon usually making the big catches, Arceneaux has been a welcome addition to the receiving corps this season, finishing seventh overall in the CFL with seven TDs. In two games against the Alouettes, he has five catches for 42 yards and a TD.

"I'm just staying humble cause at any time, [God] can take everything from me," he said. "I can be healthy right now, and go out and practice, hurt any limb, you just can't take things for granted."
