Quarterback Dave Dickenson took a spin on an exercise bike yesterday, but when he takes the field again is still anyone's guess.

"Physically and emotionally he's feeling better about it," said B.C. Lions' head coach and general manager Wally Buono. Dickenson, concussed in July 13's win at Regina, is out indefinitely. He watched part of Thursday's 21-9 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders from the sidelines.

Jarious Jackson was intercepted three times in his first start for B.C. He made 16 of 38 passes for 183 yards in B.C.'s first loss of 2007. His only touchdown toss was an eight-yarder to Paris Jackson.

"I'm always my worst critic," Jarious Jackson said. "I'm going to come out here this week and work hard to correct things that I didn't do so well and try to continue things I did do well."

Buck Pierce practised yesterday, despite continuing discomfort (toe, rib and hand). Buono said Pierce would start Friday against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers if he's healthy.

Linebacker Jamall Johnson is also hoping to play after breaking his left arm against Saskatchewan.

The East division's first-place Blue Bombers (3-2-1) were 43-22 losers to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last Friday.
