Rookie slotback and kick returner Cory Rodgers, a 24-year-old from Texas Christian University, had stints with Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers. His 45-yard catch last week set up running back Joe Smith's game-winning touchdown against Toronto.

24 hours: Describe being a rookie on a team that's a defending champion.

#18 Cory Rodgers: "To make the team was a great accomplishment, that's one step. The next step now is to play a role and fit in accordingly. This is a great organization to come to. It's like in the States, the Colts or the Patriots. Coming to an organization of this calibre, you have to feel good with this type of team, these coaches."

24: What are your first impressions of Wally Buono?

#18: "Wally's system is very player friendly. He's the type of coach that's going to put the ball in your hands and let you make plays, he's not going to take you out of your game. It's very easy to comprehend. You've just got to go out there and have fun."

24: What's your favourite pre-game meal?

#18: "Baked potato and baked chicken. Just a meal on a day off? Spaghetti, garlic bread, mashed potatoes and green beans."

24: What's a typical game day for you?

#18: "I go out a little early and warm up, try not to stay stiff, I like to stay relaxed, I'm not one of those guys who does a lot of talking. I kind of have my iPod on, focusing on what needs to be done, thinking of my play calls, my assignments."

24: Which artists are in heavy rotation on your iPod?

#18: "Robin Thicke. I'm old school, I'm a young guy, but Marvin Gaye, Al Green.

I try to listen to something that's going to have me in a good mood, relaxing, soothing."
