Wally Buono didn't vote for Pedro and lost his Love yesterday.

Wide receivers Pedro Holiday and Marcel Love were among six players cut by the B.C. Lions' head coach and general manager in the wake of Friday's 24-15 exhibition loss to Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Receiver Keith Flanagan, offensive lineman Jason Russell, defensive lineman Chris Browder and linebacker Michael Brown were also released from training camp, which continues today in Abbotsford.

Holiday was the only one among the unlucky six to figure in the game. He caught one 15-yard pass.

B.C. quarterback Jarious Jackson was 19-for-27 with 191 yards passing and an 11-yard, fourth quarter touchdown pass to Cory Rodgers. Riders' pivot Marcus Crandell found Andy Fantuz for a 25-yard touchdown reception with nine seconds left in the first half. Andrew Tate scored on a one-yard run in the fourth.

The Lions visit the Edmonton Eskimos on Thursday night to end preseason play.

- Repairs to B.C. Place Stadium's roof were paused for the game. Maker Bird Air expects to be done by Friday. The permanent panel replaces a temporary one installed in January after snow, ice and slush ripped the air-supported fabric roof.
