Quarterback Dave Dickenson could finish his career in the Lions' Den.

The most outstanding player of the 2006 Grey Cup win over the Montreal Alouettes signed a new two-year plus option deal with B.C. Despite the contract, he said he would have to earn his own job security.

"In the CFL, just because you have a long contract it really doesn't mean anything," Dickenson said yesterday when training camp started in Abbotsford. "Overall it's about producing on the field, as fans that's how you should want it."

The 34-year-old Montana product produced 238 completions on 338 passes for 3,032 yards and 22 touchdowns. During his four years in orange and black, B.C. has three West division first place finishes, two Grey Cup appearances and one championship.
