Big 64 is back for more.

B.C. Lions' centre Angus Reid has extended his contract. The terms weren't disclosed.

The Richmond native hasn't missed a game since joining B.C. in 2001.

"Angus is a tough, hardnosed player that everybody respects," head coach and general manager Wally Buono said.

Talks continue with quarterback Dave Dickenson about his contract extension. Meanwhile, attention is shifting to May 2's CFL draft. The Grey Cup champs pick last in all six rounds, but have Hamilton's first pick in Round 3. Buono said the salary cap has made the draft more significant than ever.

"You're going to have to go find the younger players now," Buono said. "You might not be able to afford a veteran's salary."

Buono deemed veteran Bobby Singh's salary too rich. The released offensive lineman signed last week with the Calgary Stampeders.

Training camp opens June 4 in Abbotsford.
