The joy of the boys and girls inside B.C. Children's Hospital couldn't match the smile on receiver Ryan Thelwell's face as the B.C. Lions visited the hospital yesterday with the Grey Cup in tow.

Thelwell had good reason to be happy.

First, he's giving back to the community, something he said he doesn't even need to be asked to do and second, the Grey Cup is along for special visits like these.

"Every time I see the Cup it puts a smile on my face," said Thelwell. "It's been a great year and the guys worked so hard and to finally get rewarded with the Grey Cup, it feels so good right now."

Thelwell, who just finished his fifth year with the Leos, plans on spending a relaxing day with his family when his turn comes around to have the Cup all to himself.
