Lions' slotback Jason Clermont wants a glorious finish so he can forget how this season started.

Knee surgery to repair a ligament torn in the season opener at B.C. Place sidelined him until Aug. 10. He has 404 yards on 35 catches and three touchdowns in eight games.

"With missing out on half the season, statistical goals aren't in the realm of possibility for me and so it puts more of a focus on just absolutely winning," he said.

Clermont had back-to-back 1,000-yard-plus receiving seasons in 2004 and 2005. In 2004, he was most outstanding Canadian with a personal best 1,220 yards and seven TDs.
