24 hours: Talk about your degree in sociology.
No. 33 Joe Smith: When I was in junior college, I was going into TV production, I like to do editing. But when I transferred to a Division I school ... all my hours went toward [sociology]. I enjoyed the time I had studying, to sit there and study people and what the trends are.
24: How has sociology helped you?
No. 33: You do a lot of people watching when you go to the mall, you can kind of tell what they do, their habits, you can use it in all facets of life. It was really helpful, especially with me starting my own company.
24: What's the business?
No. 33: It's Magic Memory Dog Tags (www.mmdogtags.com). We engrave on a lot of different pendants so people can take their most treasured memories with them at all times.
24: What's your favourite dog tag?
No. 33: I have a dog tag with my two dogs, I've got two 'Warlock' Dobermans, and I've got a photo of them on there, they bring so much joy to me.
24: How do you enjoy your time away from the field?
No. 33: Most of the time I'm in New Westminster, playing guitar. Right now I'm focusing on trying to make a different sound. I listen to a lot of Bob Dylan, a little bit of Pearl Jam, the slow-playing guys, I'm not a speedster yet. Once I pick up the speed I'd like to play something faster.
