Eskimos vs. Lions game notes

In a smart move, the Edmonton Eskimos dressed Taylor Inglis last night in case of injury to regular snapper Mike Maurer. The Esks were in a potentially dangerous position last Friday when Maurer suffered a shoulder stinger.

Fortunately for the club, Maurer kept playing, but if he hadn't been able to, raw rookie and inexperienced snapper J.P. Abraham was the only option. With Inglis dressing last night, Abraham was scratched ... As expected, Richard Alston, Jabari Issa and Reggie Durden were the other healthy scratches ... Former Eskimo Kwame Cavil has been dealt for the second time this year, moving from Hamilton to Winnipeg for a third-round pick next spring. "Kwame is one of the smartest receivers I've ever had a chance to work with," said Eskimo director of football operations Dan McKinnon. Edmonton traded Cavil this off-season due to an influx of healthy and veteran receivers ... Rashad Jeanty received his second straight start at linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals last night, recording three tackles and two special team stops.
