Brent Johnson is going for the hat-trick Friday when the B.C. Lions host the Edmonton Eskimos.

The defensive end was named top lineman in the Canadian Football League for the second week in a row yesterday. He had a sack, two interceptions and a fumble recovery in last week's win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Teammate Nautyn McKay-Loescher, who scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery, was runner-up.

Ex-Lion Barrin Simpson was defensive player of the week with 11 tackles, a sack and an interception for Winnipeg.

Calgary Stampeders' quarterback Henry Burris (offensive player) and kicker Sandro DeAngelis (special teams) were honoured after snapping the Montreal Alouettes' seven-game winning streak.
