Bobby Singh won't play Friday against the Edmonton Eskimos.
The veteran offensive lineman has a torn shoulder muscle. He'll rest the injury and hope to be ready to play the Alouettes in Montreal Sept. 1.
Fourth-year veteran Sherko Haji-Rasouli will take Singh's starting spot on the offensive line.
Head coach Wally Buono said the results of Singh's MRI scan were better than expected, but it's not worth risking further damage.
Buono may also be cautious and choose Buck Pierce to start at quarterback over Dave Dickenson. Dickenson is recovering from a sprained right ankle.
