B.C. Lions have enough defensive awards for a week. Now they want their fifth win of 2006.

Linebacker Javier Glatt was named the Canadian Football League's defensive player of the week Wednesday. Yesterday it was safety Barron Miles' turn. He was chosen as 2006's first defensive player of the month.

Miles leads the league with six interceptions, 20 tackles and two forced fumbles plus a pass knockdown. The three-time all-star is eight interceptions away from 50.

Miles said he's cautious not to downplay the visiting Eskimos, who are struggling at 2-4 after winning the 2005 Grey Cup.

Edmonton has beaten B.C. the last four times the teams have met, including the 2005 Western final.

"They have a lot of weapons, they have a great scheme they run to perfection," Miles said. "For some reason they're not putting up a lot of points. Against us they just might."

Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. tonight in B.C. Place Stadium. Fans donating cash or non-perishable food to the Purolator Tackle Hunger food bank campaign can get their photos taken with the Grey Cup. Members of the 1964 Lions, B.C.'s first Grey Cup winners, will be at the game for a reunion.
