Geroy Simon will be a B.C. Lion through 2009.

The 30-year-old Johnston, Penn., native inked a contract extension yesterday.

Simon was the leading Lions' pass-catcher for the third straight season in 2005 with 89 receptions for 1,322 yards. He has 40 touchdowns in five seasons with B.C.

"Everybody's happy to be here, excited about the season, excited about having a good year," Simon said. "It's a positive attitude and we're feeling good."

Simon signed as a free agent in October 2001 after two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was University of Maryland's all-time leader with 185 catches and 2,059 yards.
