Johnstown, Penn.-born slotback Geroy Simon celebrated his 30th birthday last Sunday. 24 hours: How did you spend your birthday? #81, Geroy Simon: "I sat and watched football all day and had a little dance competition with my kids, then I went to the Keg and ate some dinner." 24: What's your favourite meal at the Keg? #81: "Ribsteak with the lobster on the side." 24: Who won the dance competition? #81: "My son. He's learning." 24: What's your favourite music? #81: "I like B.B. King, but right now (I'm listening to) Anthony Hamilton and Usher." 24: You're a big baseball fan? #81: "I don't have a specific team, I like specific players, I like Barry Bonds, Derek Jeter, A-Rod, Manny Ramirez, I love Pedro (Martinez)." 24: How do you feel about Bonds and the steroid rumours? #81: "He brings excitement to the Giants and major league baseball. Everybody has their opinion on it. Until they prove it I just let it go." 24: What's your prediction for the World Series? #81: "Probably Red Sox and St. Louis again. St. Louis is playing real good and the Sox are always tough. Curt Schilling is back. 24: How did it feel at practice this week with the smoke from the Burns Bog fire? #81: "I felt like I got a year's worth of second hand smoke out there. You've just got to adapt to it. At the beginning of practice I felt a little light-headed." |
