- The Argos made a point of getting Robert Baker involved early in the game. Coming off a team-imposed one game suspension for punching teammate Noel Prefontaine, Baker caught two passes on the first drive.

- Actor Burt Reynolds was in attendance for the game and received a nice ovation from the crowd.

- Recently signed linebacker Derrick (Bo) Lewis subbed in for Argos starter Ray Mariuz on some passing downs.

- Argos' rookie defensive lineman Riall Johnson, a native of White Rock, B.C., notched his first career sack.

- A 42-yard pass to Arland Bruce from Damon Allen late in the second quarter was wiped out on a holding penalty.

- On the next play, the Argos were penalized for an illegal substitution. Coach Pinball Clemons wasn't happy with the call and gave an official an earful for the next few minutes.

- Argos defensive end Jonathan Brown was banged up and missed a series late in the second quarter, but returned before the half was over.

- Argos returner Bashir Levingston was flagged for objectionable conduct after arguing with a referee when he was hit while going down to pick up a punt he bobbled. The penalty pushed the Argos back to the 10-yard line late in the first half and a couple of plays later, the Argos gave up a safety.
