JC Sherritt is aiming for a return to game action against Montreal later this week (Ian Kucerak, Edmonton Sun).

JC Sherritt is taking it one step at a time, which now includes having participated in two consecutive practices.

The Edmonton Eskimos linebacker was back on the field again with his teammates Saturday, having spent most of the season nursing a foot injury.

It’s possible Sherritt could be back in the lineup when the Eskimos head east for a pair of games against the Montreal Alouettes and the Ottawa REDBLACKS respectively.

“I feel great, I’m going to take it one day at a time and not rush anything and take my time with it,” Sherritt said. “I feel physically great, so I’m just hoping to keep on that track.

“It’s been mentally draining and physically has been tough, but it’s been great to just get back out here. Obviously, my mindset is to take it one day at a time. Today is a success and I can’t wait to come back tomorrow. It’s been tough.
