The Argos are now on the clock, their work only beginning as they put the finishing touches to their roster.

Friday at 4 p.m., GM Jim Barker is scheduled to meet with the media, an occasion for Barker to expand on why a certain defensive lineman didn’t make the grade, perhaps even shed some light on who will start at running back, review the team’s injured list and give an overall breakdown on the makeup of the team.

It won’t be easy and somewhere in the CFL there are teams certain to eye players Toronto will jettison.

Not even Barker knows with any degree of confidence what these Argos are capable of doing this season, a team that fell flat in the second half of last fall’s East final against visiting Hamilton.
