WINNIPEG - The Grey Cup game is coming to Winnipeg next year.
A CFL source has confirmed commissioner Mark Cohon will make it official during a trip to the city on Wednesday, awarding the 103rd league championship game to Winnipeg.
Itíll mark the fourth time the Grey Cup has been played here, the first since 2006. Winnipeg also hosted in 1991 and í98.
Winnipeg was originally seen as a potential host for 2014. But delays in building the new stadium pushed that plan back, and Vancouver stepped in to host this year.
Itís expected the capacity of Investors Group Field will be expanded from 33,500 to some 40,000, with temporary seating.
