There are plenty of CFL players on pins and needles heading into Monday’s CFL expansion draft.

By mid-Monday, 24 of them will need to start worrying about change-of-address cards.

At 11:05 a.m. or so, Ottawa RedBlacks GM Marcel Desjardins will emerge from his team’s version of a war room, in the middle of the Fifth Avenue Court, at 99 Fifth Ave., and announce the first eight “import” players selected from a list of available players from around the CFL. Then, the team will add 16 more, two from each team — these selections will be Canadians, what they call “non-import” players. Each team will lose three players, at least initially. There is also the chance that the RedBlacks choose somebody, then trade him elsewhere.
