Those dark clouds swirling overtop the field at the McMaster University campus yesterday?

They cleared, eventually.

Sunshine found a seam.

Fitting. After being completely thunderstruck last season in what can only be described as some of the most wretched times in the team’s esteemed history — a wobbly 6-12 record, zero playoff dates — the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are probably due for brighter days.

The CFL squad, as with every other team in the league, opened training camp on the weekend with fresh situations, a chance to re-group and most importantly newfound hope.

Hamilton’s first full-squad practice yesterday marked an opportunity to put in new systems that have been sitting on paper for months into play, and a chance to not only look forward, but spring it all into action.
