Former CFL assistant coach Ron Lancaster Jr. has died, according to a report.

Sources close to the family say Lancaster was found dead in his Hamilton, Ont., apartment Tuesday night, according to the Hamilton Spectator.

No details about the cause of death or his age were available.

Lancaster was the son of legendary CFL quarterback and head coach Ron Lancaster, who passed away in 2008 at the age of 69.

Lancaster served as an assistant coach with the Toronto Argonauts, Edmonton Eskimos, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He coached in the Grey Cup five times, winning three.
