CFL issues multiple fines for Week 4 actions
By SPORTS NETWORK

TORONTO - The Canadian Football League announced a spate of fines on Wednesday in the wake of several incidents during Week 4 of the 2011 season.

The Toronto Argonauts were hit three times. Head coach Jim Barker was levied a $1,000 fine for public comments critical of the officiating in last Saturday's 33-24 home loss to Winnipeg, and defensive end Ricky Foley was fined an undisclosed sum for similar comments.

In addition, linebacker Ejiro Kuale was docked an unknown amount for an illegal hit that knocked Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce out of the contest.

Montreal Alouettes defensive back Dwight Anderson was fined for unnecessary roughness on Saskatchewan receiver Weston Dressler in the Riders' 27-24 win Sunday.

British Columbia defensive back Korey Banks is also lighter in the wallet for giving a throat-slashing gesture in the Lions' 39-31 setback against Hamilton on Friday.
