Riders extend Patrick

REGINA, Sask. -- The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed safety James Patrick to a contract extension.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Patrick led the CFL with nine interceptions in 2010, returning one for a touchdown. He also registered 68 tackles with one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.

The 28-year-old import has appeared in 53 games since signing with the Riders as a free agent in 2008. He has 136 tackles with 13 interceptions and four fumble recoveries for the Green and White.
