TORONTO -- The Canadian Football League fined Hamilton Tiger-Cats offensive tackle Jason Jimenez for a late hit in last Saturday's game against British Columbia.

Jimenez was docked a half-game paycheck, the highest amount allowed under terms of the current collective bargaining agreement.

Jimenez was caught taking a dive at the knees of Lions defensive end Brent Johnson after the whistle blew to stop play. He was given a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty for his effort.

In addition, according to TSN of Canada, Jimenez will have a face-to-face meeting with CFL commissioner Mark Cohon next week.

This is the second time Jimenez has been cited for making an illegal move at another player's knees. When he was playing for British Columbia, Jimenez was given a one-game suspension, later overturned, for taking out Calgary lineman Anthony Gargiulo, who suffered a career-ending broken leg.
