First trophy, ribbon, medal or prize you won in sports? A soccer trophy when I was about six. I still have it.

Favourite sports team followed as a kid? The Maple Leafs. That was when I was young, young. Probably once or twice a year I got to go to a game. But that kind of faded away. At first going to a Leafs game was a big deal.

Favourite team to follow now that you're all grown up? My sister's volleyball team. They're in third place in their conference right now but they're moving up and a game or two out of first.

Superstitions? I only eat breakfast before a game regardless of whether it's an afternoon game or a night game.

Who would play you in a movie? That would have to be my little cousin Thomas. He's my biggest fan. He's 12.

Who is the person who had the most influence on you? My sister was the first to start in organized sports and the first to go to the U.S. on a scholarship. And we both were heavily influenced by my parents.

Your favourite moment in football so far? Getting drafted by the Eskimos. I was sitting at my apartment in Murray, Kentucky waiting and hoping for the phone to ring.

If you weren't playing football what would you be doing? Probably still be in school right now working on my MBA.

Greatest talent other than football? I'm a pretty good cook. Chicken cutlets and potatoes is one of my specialties.

Favourite city to visit in CFL? Vancouver. The time of year we went was perfect by the water. It was a real nice atmosphere.

Favourite stadium in which to play on the road? Ivor Wynne. Because the fans are crazy there and so close to the field.

Ideal vacation spot? Anywhere there is sunshine, sand and water.

When you're hungry you like to pig out on? Chocolate. Anything chocolate.

Favourite TV show? CSI Miami.

Favourite cartoon character? Inspector Gadget.

Last movie you enjoyed? Kingdom Of Heaven.

Last book you read? The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

What do you drive to practice? A 1998 Ford Expedition.

Closest friend on other teams in the league? Don Ruiz of Ottawa. We grew up in Stoney Creek. He was a few years older. But we were always around each other for pickup basketball games and that sort of thing.

Favourite way to spend a day? Couch potato watching TV.

Least favourite thing to do? Laundry.

If I could meet one person from all of sports history who would that person be? Jerry Rice. He was around for so long and played so well.

If you were stranded on a desert island in the Pacific with three other people, who would you want them to be? My girlfriend. A gourmet chef. And a boat builder.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen in a game? Last year's Labour Day in Calgary when a fan streaked across the field and none of the security guards wanted to tackle him.

What do you see yourself doing when you turn 40? Sitting on the beach in South Florida.

People don't know this about you but ... all my drawers are colour co-ordinated.
