B.C. Lions

* The QB controversy is humming once again. Casey Printers is on fire and will likely start Friday in Edmonton, while Dave Dickenson (concussion) is ready to play. Stay tuned.

Calgary Stampeders

* The Stamps weren't impressed with 'Rider fans' trash talk for Henry Burris. "It was pathetic," Taylor Robertson told the Calgary Herald. "They had so long to think about this game and they had nothing."

Edmonton Eskimos

* The Green and Gold might be entering the stretch run without one of their top D-linemen. DE Rashad Jeanty (hamstring) is questionable for Friday's game against B.C.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats

* This is a good sign for the Tabbies: They're still fighting in practice. Two days after the team thumped Ottawa, DB Airabin Justin traded punches with SB Archie Amerson.

Montreal Alouettes

* RB Robert Edwards, with 1,085 so far, is the first Alouette to rush for 1,000 yards in a season since bad boy Lawrence Phillips turned the trick in 2002.

Ottawa Renegades

* WR Pat Woodcock is hot after Ticats DB Tay Cody knocked him out of Friday's game with a late hit that wasn't flagged. "It was just a cheap shot," Woodcock told the Ottawa Sun.

Saskatchewan Roughriders

* The Green and White might actually have a 1,000-yard receiver this season! Elijah Thurmon pushed his total to 998 yards after a 39-yard performance Sunday against the Stamps.

Toronto Argonauts

* RB John Avery (hamstring) could be ready to go Thursday night against the Tiger-Cats, but it appears non-import Jeff Johnson, who shone against the Alouettes, will get the start.
