B.C. LIONS

- The Leos have won seven straight games, and six of those victories have been by more than 20 points ... QB Casey Printers is expected to start again this Saturday against the Eskimos with Dave Dickenson still nursing his knee.

CALGARY STAMPEDERS

- Not surprisingly, morale has plummeted to new depths on the 2-10 squad. A report out of Cowtown indicates defensive tackle Joe Fleming had a shouting match with head coach Matt Dunigan during a team meeting last week.

EDMONTON ESKIMOS

- Lost in Mike Pringle's pursuit of George Reed's CFL rushing record is the fact that the Eskimos are rolling with four straight victories. The Esks (7-5) could join the Lions (8-3) in first place in the West if they beat them on Saturday.

HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

- How bad was it for the Tabbies against the Alouettes on Sunday during their 47-18 loss? They produced seven straight two-and-outs in the first half ... Of the Ticats' six remaining games, four are against teams with worse records.

MONTREAL ALOUETTES

- SB Ben Cahoon jammed his shoulder on Sunday against the Ticats and head coach Don Matthews isn't sure if his star pass catcher will be back for a Sept. 25 meeting against the Bombers ... The Als are 11-1 for the first time.

OTTAWA RENEGADES

- S/LB Kelly Wiltshire could watch his streak of 142 consecutive CFL games come to an end on Friday when his team visits Calgary. Wiltshire injured his left Achilles tendon during Saturday's loss to the Lions.

SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS

- Four of the Roughies' eight losses have come against teams who have fired a coach. Winnipeg, which got rid of Dave Ritchie, has beaten them three times. Calgary, which turfed offensive co-ordinator John Jenkins, has done it once.

TORONTO ARGONAUTS

- Arland Bruce returns to Winnipeg on Saturday. "Yes, I'm looking forward to it," Bruce told the Toronto Star. "I don't know whether I'll hear boos or cheers. But I left there on a good note. I had a good relationship with everyone."
