MISSISSAUGA — Pairs figure skater Michael Marinaro is not expected to lose his spot on Canada’s junior team after an incident Saturday night ended with him being kicked out of his hotel during the national championships in Mississauga.

According to coach Scott Rachuk, the 21-year-old Sarnia native was playing peace-maker during a disturbance involving fellow skaters. Police were called to the Delta Meadowvale in Mississauga late Saturday night. No charges were laid.

“Mike was trying to break up a fight,” Rachuk said. “He was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and the hotel did what hotels do in this kind of situation. They kick people out.”

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
