HOW THE DEVIL ARE YOU?

I'm fine.

IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT AND YOU'RE NOT SKATING. WHATCHA DOIN'?

After world championships, hopefully I'll be going out and celebrating with all my friends.

WHAT WERE YOU LIKE IN SCHOOL?

I liked sciences, especially chemistry. I liked going to the laboratory and doing experiments.

WHAT'S YOUR MOST TREASURED MATERIAL POSSESSION?

A chapelet my grandmother gave me before she died. It's a religious necklace.

WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU PUNCHED AND WHY?

I don't remember punching anyone in my life. Honestly!

WOULD YOU PUNCH SOMEONE WHO SAID SKATING'S NOT A SPORT?

I wouldn't punch him but I'd argue with him. I don't think I have the physical strength to punch anyone.

WHAT'S YOUR MOST UNPLEASANT CHARACTERISTIC?

Oh I don't like my feet. They're all bumpy from wearing my skates. They're just not nice.

WHAT'S THE BEST ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED?

I got good advice during the Olympics from Clara Hughes. I thought it was really hard to be there for two weeks, watching everybody come back from their competition and start to party and have fun. But I still needed to be concentrating. She told me I would have the rest of my life to party but you can only have one shot to compete at Olympics.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?

The first car I drove was my dad's minivan.

WHAT REPAIRS CAN YOU PERFORM ON YOUR CAR?

I can do a lot actually, because I had a really old Hyundai Scoupe. I had so many accidents, just bumping into things in parking lots. I got so many problems, I don't know where to start. But I can change a tire and change the oil.

IF YOU COULD BE ANY ATHLETE, WHO WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?

I really look up to Kurt Browning in skating. But at Olympics, I would have liked to have been Cindy Klassen, because she won so many medals.

WHAT'S YOUR CULINARY SPECIALTY?

Grilled cheese. I don't really cook a lot yet. I don't have so much time for it yet. I think I would have to take cooking lessons because I'm not that good at it.

WHAT'S YOUR CELL RINGTONE?

Carmen. It can get very annoying when you hear it.

WHO'S THE MOST FAMOUS PERSON IN YOUR CELL PHONEBOOK?

I would have to say (Olympic bronze medallist) Jeff Buttle.

ARE YOU EASILY EMBARRASSED?

No, no. I'm not that shy.

WHAT TV SERIES DO YOU WANT ON DVD?

It's a Quebec show, a comedy, that I watch a lot.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE UNHEALTHY FOOD?

Pizza.

WHERE'S THE BEST PLACE TO HOLIDAY YOU'VE BEEN?

Have I ever been on a holiday? I don't think so (giggling). I've never been to the south, like Mexico or Hawaii, like that. I would really love to go there instead of competing in a cold country and visiting a country with snow all the time.

WHAT'S THE BEST CONCERT YOU'VE SEEN?

The last concert I've been to was the Backstreet Boys when I was 10 years old. I just don't have time for concerts.

WHAT WOULD WE ALWAYS FIND IN YOUR FRIDGE?

Yogurt.

WHAT WAS THE BEST YEAR OF YOUR LIFE?

I hope it didn't happen yet! Every year is different but every year is good. Every new year is better, I think, than the previous one.

WHAT MOVIE MADE YOU CRY?

The Notebook.

WHAT'S THE STRANGEST PIECE OF FAN MAIL YOU'VE RECEIVED?

A guy from the States sent me a picture of him, things like that. I think they're funny.

FUNNY? NOT SCARY?

Oh no, no. He was cute, so it was fine.

WHAT'S THE FUNNIEST THING YOU'VE SEEN DURING A COMPETITION?

I would say 2004 when that guy in the tutu went on the ice right before Michelle Kwan skated.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SUPERSTITIONS?

No, I'm not a superstitious. Some people get crazy if they don't put their right skate on before the left. But I'm not like that.

WHAT'S THE UGLIEST PIECE OF CLOTHING IN YOUR WARDROBE?

Oh, I think I have a lot now. I haven't been shopping a lot lately and I haven't been cleaning out my closet. I probably have lots of things that aren't fashionable anymore.

IF YOU COULD TIME TRAVEL TO ANY SPORTING EVENT, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I would love to be in Calgary for all the great Canadian performances by skaters (in the past such as Elizabeth Manley, Karen Magnussen and Barbara Ann Scott.

CAN YOU BE CONVINCED TO KARAOKE? IF SO, WHAT SONG?

No, no, no, no. I'm sure my friends would not allow me to because I sing so badly.
