VANCOUVER - The UFC is — almost certainly — coming back to Calgary next year.

After a couple days in Vancouver during which Calgary has never been far from Dana White’s lips, the organization’s top guy in Canada confirmed Friday to the Sun that a return trip to Cowtown is in the UFC’s plans for 2015.

“I can honestly tell you that when we wrote our business plan for this year — we actually write a three-year plan — and in our business plan for those three years was coming back to Calgary in 2015,” said Tom Wright, the managing director for UFC Operations in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. “That is our plan. That’s what I want to do.

“It’ll be three years since we’ve been to the city, and, as Dana (White) said, we owe it to the city.”
