Same city. Same narrative. Two distinctly different athletes.

Over the last decade and a half, much has been made of Peyton Manning's inability to win the big one.

One Super Bowl title just doesn't cut it for one of the best quarterbacks of a generation, and heading into Sunday, the Denver Broncos signal-caller knows it.

Less than 24 hours before Manning attempts to rewrite his legacy, Urijah Faber will attempt to pen a new page in his own book against bantamweight titleholder Renan Barao at UFC 169 inside the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

UFC president Dana White believes, just like Manning, Faber knows what's at stake.

“Yeah, I think you do,” White told reporters Thursday at Madison Square Garden in New York. “He was the WEC champ, which is great, but everybody wants that UFC belt. Saturday is a very defining moment in his career.

“He knows. He's a laid back dude, but he ain't that laid back. He knows he needs to win that belt.”
