If Georges St. Pierre can’t handle the stress of being a UFC champion, Johny Hendricks suggests he give up his welterweight title to somebody who can.

Somebody like Hendricks.

After his controversial split-decision win against Hendricks at UFC 167, GSP announced he would be taking a break from the sport due to personal issues that were causing stress and lack of sleep.

On Friday, Hendricks appeared on Inside MMA and took the opportunity to mock and shame St. Pierre.

“Dude I’ve got three kids. You know what I’m saying?” Hendricks said.

“Talk about sleep? Are you kidding me? Everybody’s got problems in life. That’s the way it is. If you can’t handle being champion, give it up. We chose to get into that octagon, we chose not to sleep. I don’t know how many times I’ve gone to bed at five-, six-o-clock in the morning and woke up at 10, running four miles because I wanted to beat GSP that bad. Dude, who cares? I chose this life. Tell yourself whatever you need to. Just get back in that octagon with me. I can’t wait for the rematch.”

St. Pierre’s post-fight announcement infuriated UFC boss Dana White, who has already called for a rematch. After speaking with GSP, White commented that the fighter’s problems “aren’t as bad as he thinks they are.”

According to TMZ, St. Pierre is dealing with two separate personal issues. The gossip website reported his father is dying and he’s dealing with an unplanned pregnancy – he recently learned that he impregnated a woman and she wants to keep the child against his wishes.
