For Mark (The Hammer) Coleman, serving as an assistant coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter was simply too good an opportunity to pass up.

In fact, not only did he drop everything at a moment's notice, he even went against his surgeon's orders.

"I just had hip-replacement surgery, so I don't think my surgeon will be too happy with what I'm doing," Coleman told QMI Agency ahead of UFC 167 last Saturday. "I didn't let him know, of course. I probably shouldn't be doing it, but I probably shouldn't have done a lot of stuff. Some times you've got to take a chance.

"It's an amazing experience so far. I love both teams, the reds and blues. I've made a lot of friends forever. I'll be fans of these guys. I can't wait to see them evolve and end up in the UFC."
