UFC fighter Georges St-Pierre is stepping away from the Octagon due to two separate personal issues, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports that St-Pierre's father is dying, and he is also dealing with an unplanned pregnancy -- he recently learned that he impregnated an unnamed woman, and she wants to keep the child.

According to TMZ, GSP is not interested in being a father.

GSP shockingly announced after his win over Johnny Hendricks in Las Vegas on Saturday night that he was leaving the cage for a while.

“I have to go away for a bit; I have personal things I need to take care of,” said St. Pierre, but he stopped short of telling interviewer Joe Rogan that he was set to retire.

The comments initially infuriated UFC boss Dana White, who told reporters at a post-fight press conference: "You don’t just say ‘Hey. I’m going to take a while off and maybe I’ll be back, maybe I won’t.’ You owe it to the fans, you owe it to that belt, you owe it to this company [the UFC] and you owe it to Johny Hendricks to give him that opportunity to fight again. Unless you’re going to retire."

White spoke with GSP and clarified his comments, stating St-Pierre’s personal problems "aren't as bad as he thinks they are."
