Jon (Bones) Jones is sick of being compared to Alexander (The Mauler) Gustafsson.

Following consecutive title defences against middleweights Chael Sonnen and Vitor Belfort, the UFC light-heavyweight champion was dogged with criticism that he only fights smaller opponents. Jones reacted by lobbying UFC officials for a bout with Gustafsson, who, at 6-foot-5, is among the tallest competitors in the 205-pound division.

The two were booked for the main event of UFC 165 in Toronto Sept. 21 and the UFC marketing machine immediately began hyping the fighters’ physical similarities. But as far as Jones is concerned, he and Gustafsson have little in common.
