TORONTO - For almost two years, Jason (The Kansas City Bandit) High's biggest challenge was simply securing a fight.

"It definitely wasn't ideal, but it's part of the game," High said in a phone interview. "I was in Strikeforce, waiting for fights and then there was the one that got cancelled. It was unfortunate."

Over the last 20 months, the American Top Team fighter has totalled a mere 26 seconds of actual fight time. But it was hardly due to a lack of effort on his part.

High managed to keep busy in 2011, competing on three separate occasions, two of which were under the Strikeforce banner. He capped off the year with a unanimous-decision victory over Todd Moore that September.

However, over the coming months, High's sole trip to the cage saw him pick up a rapid submission win over Nate Moore last July. He was later booked opposite Yancy Medeiros at Strikeforce: Cormier vs. Mir in November, but the card was completely scrapped after Frank Mir bowed out due to injury.
